Palousa San Sebastian
Palousa San Sebastian, born on 11 July 2005 in the Netherlands and registered in the Dutch Appaloosa studbook, is an interesting subject. Thanks to his remarkable performance, he has been promoted within the British National Show Jumping Association, highlighting his talents and potential.
He deserves further examination from a genetic point of view. His sire, San Remo, is part of the prestigious Hanoverian breed and is the son of Wolkentanz I and grandson of the stallion Weltmeyer, one of the most famous horses in the history of dressage. His great-grandfather, Volturno, further enriched his lineage, being an Olympic champion and two-time German champion. Palousa San Sebastian’s dam, Palousa Caprice, boasts a remarkable record as the best broodmare of the Dutch Appaloosa breed five times. She is a direct daughter of Gribaldi, a Trakehner descendant of Kostolany, known for his career as a Grand Prix stallion and sire of the legendary dressage horse Totilas.
