Love for You x Universeel x Gershwin

Orville Kwpn

Orville is a KWPN tobian black stallion, born in 2019 in the Netherlands. This stallion is distinguished by his elegant bearing and balanced disposition. He is a son of Love for You, a horse descended from Lord Leatherdale, who is also known for sired the famous Glamourdale, a highly successful dressage specimen.

Orville’s maternal line, represented by Universeel, further enriches his pedigree by including such illustrious names as Olivi and Jazz, recognized stars in the dressage scene. In addition, the presence in his pedigree of horses such as Voltaire and Gershwin – the latter grandfather of the famous Valegro – highlights the versatility of this stallion, making him potentially interesting not only for broodmares destined for dressage, but also for eventing competitions.

Sports awards

He began his international career in dressage in the FEI circuit receiving excellent scores and compliments from international judges.

Features

He is heterozygous for tobian color, which means she has a 50% chance of passing this trait on to her foal, provided the dam is “solid.” This percentage increases to 75% if the mother is already tobian. In the last two years of his breeding career, 80% of Orville’s foals have shown Tobian coloration in several color variations.

Orville is characterized by correct and very expressive gaits. With a height of 176 cm, he boasts good bone structure and balanced proportions that highlight his aesthetics and functionality. What enhances him most is his temperament: gentle and sweet, he is always eager to work and does not exhibit any behavior typical of a stallion.
