Birth of a Holsteiner star

Calido I, a distinguished Holsteiner stallion born April 2, 1991, was the product of esteemed breeders Heini and Matthias Kahler. With a height of 168 cm and a gray coat, Calido I was a prominent figure within the Holsteiner studbook.

Father

His lineage boasted notable fathers, being the son of Cantus-a progeny of Caletto I and Roman, supplemented by Marabu II-and Baroness, whose lineage included Coriander, Roman and Aldato.

Mother and grandmother

The maternal side of Calido I’s pedigree is particularly noteworthy. His grandmother, Kollet, a descendant of Roman, produced six sons who excelled in both dressage and jumping, achieving success at advanced levels. His legacy continued through his brother Calido II, who also gained approval.
